Pierre Ogjust Renoir (1841-1919)

Pierre Ogjust Renoir was born on February, 25th, 1841 in small town
Limoges. Pierre became the sixth child in a family, tailor Leonar
Renoir, and mother - Margarit Merle was his father. When Pierre was
still small, all family moves to Paris. Ogjust since the childhood
very much liked to draw, therefore parents have given its journeyman
to the painter on porcelain where the future artist drew small
bouquets on a white background. In a lunch break Pierre ran in the
Louvre where did copies of pictures of masters. To earn Renoir is a
little money undertakes a list of fans, curtains and even cases.
In 1860 Renoir take for work in the Louvre on a post kopiista. In a
year it registers in Charles Glejra's workshop which was the known
Swiss painter. Here Renoir prepares for competitive examination for
receipt in imperial School of fine arts which successfully passes
chereh two years. It is necessary to tell that Renoir travels to
this period across France much enough. In February, 1881 it goes to
Algeria, imitating Delacroix's idol. With the model and the future
wife Alina Sharigo, Renoir travels across Italy.
In 1885 at Renoir the first son is given birth, this time
corresponds to the period of a creative maturity of the artist.
Throughout all life Renoir continues to perfect the technics of
painting. Since 1885 the artist constantly leaves in Essua - a small
village where his wife was born, and soon buys here own house.
At the end of the century the recognition comes to Renoir and in
1892 School of fine arts priobretat its picture "Girls for the
piano". In 1900 Renoir is awarded the order the Honourable legion,
and in some years of its work appear in the Louvre. Doctors
recommend to Renoir a soft climate, therefore it in 1907 gets the
house in Colette. Last years lives of the artist have been very
saddened - its favourite wife, two sons seriously injured in the war
dies, and its health absolutely worsens also Renoir is almost
chained to an invalid cross. Nevertheless, Pierre Ogjust even does
not stop at this time to write. The death has come to the master on
December, 2nd, 1919.
